In het weekend van 12 en 13 januari 2008 werd weer het jaarlijkse cursusweekend TT & BR gehouden door de NKBV regio Oost-Brabant. Met 28 mensen werd het rotsmassief in Dave bevolkt waarbij druk geoefend werd in diverse disciplines: van gletsjerspleetredding tot berging van een zwaargewond slechtoffer in alpien terrein, maar ook de basisvaardigheden die je nodig hebt bij het klimmen in rots.
Overnachten deden we in de altijd knusse Chaveehut in Maillen.
Wij werkten een programma door met het gebruik van de reverso in diverse situaties, inclusief de reddingstechnieken express-flaschenzug en de seilrolle-flaschenzug.
Samen met instructeur Ruben leerden we hier de vele mogelijkheden van de reverso kennen. Op zondagmiddag gingen we nog even de ‘gletsjer’ op voor een gletsjerspleetredding met instructeur Mischa. Na het toepassen van de Munchhausentechniek sloten we een leerzaam en gezellig weekend af.
